While we are just a small town country club, people are always amazed at the high quality golf course we have at Rolling Hills. Beyond fantastic greens and zoysia fairways, visitors and members alike are impressed by the improvements and changes that we make every year. In 2016 we improved the hazard on 17 and added a new bridge, we replaced a good portion of our irrigation system, and we added furniture and fans to our new pavilion by the pool.
Rolling Hills is unique in that we thrive to be a part of the community, be affordable and keep our atmosphere relaxed. We want people to understand that when you come to Rolling Hills we want you to have a good time. It doesn’t matter if you are a great player that wants to find an opportunity to a quick 18 in two and a half hours or a group of beginners that want to find a time to play without being pushed or embarrassed. We will do all we can to make sure you have a great day.
I hope you have the chance to come and visit our club, who knows you may decide it is your new golfing home.
Meet the Pro
Our Head Golf Professional and General Manager is Steve Nolawski. Steve came to RHCC in 2001 from Lake Valley Country Club where he was the Head Golf Professional for five years. Steve has been a member of the PGA of America since 1993 and was an Honorable Mention All-American at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville where he earned a degree in Finance.
At a club like Rolling Hills our GM and Head Professional has to wear many hats. Steve does do the usual tasks of giving lessons, stocking the proshop and running our leagues and events, but he is also the one that will be seen cleaning and gassing up golf carts or cooking meals for anything from our Wednesday Night Couples league to a wedding.
There is also a fairly good chance he will answer the phone when you are connected with the proshop.
Give Steve a call to find out more about Rolling Hills.
About Rolling Hills
Rolling Hills Country Club is a Member Owned Semi-Private club that is open to the public. We feature an 18 hole golf course that is over 6500 yards from the longest of five sets of tees. The newest set of tees are the Green and the Pink, to give our senior men and senior women a shorter option to make the day a little more enjoyable. The course plays to a par of 71. Unique to the area our course is played over gently rolling terrain that makes it a great course to walk and is often more playable for Senior and Kids. While nobody would classify the course as a monster, it still provides more than enough challenges with three lakes, several bunkers, and native grass hazards bordering most holes. Once players get past the natural obstacles they will find some of the smoothest and most challenging greens you will play.
The Club also has a natural grass driving range and practice green located directly in front of the proshop. The proshop is stocked with a great selection of shoes, golf balls, club and clothing. Of course, Rolling Hills, is always willing to host events, big or small. Rolling Hills is simply put a wonderful small town country club. We hope you will take the time to stop by and enjoy our golf course.
